Printmaking Papers

The Fabriano paper mill has been producing paper since 1283. Cylinder mould machines were added in the nineteenth century and there is now an extensive range of both hand and mould made papers made at this mill. For those thinking of visiting this part of Italy there is an excellent museum at Fabriano including a comprehensive exhibition of watermarks.

Fabriano Rosaspina
This is a part of cotton (60%) and part woodpulp, watermarked with two deckled edges, acid free. It is available in two colours, Bianco (White) and Avorio (Ivory).

Fabriano Tiepolo
This is a mould made 100% cotton paper for printmaking. The 56 x 76 cm size has 2 deckled and 2 torn edges. The 70 x 110 cm size has 2 deckled and 2 cut edges.
